Since 2006, the Korean Culture Festival at U.S. Universities Grant Program has provided financial assistance ($1-2000) to student organizations to hold Korean Cultural Event in their local community. This grant program, jointly sponsored by The Korea Foundation (KF) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), was created to promote understanding of Korea within the universities across the United States and to foster friendship among students from diverse culture and background. This grant is only available to college/universities in the United States and student organization affiliated with the Korean community or Korea-related issues are eligible to apply for this grant.
Festival programs have diversified over time from Korean film showing, food tasting, art performance and various academic/cultural events. Since 2006, over 170 student organizations were awarded with the grant.
