Application for “2015 Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators” (Institution Grant Program – Institution) is now available online. The Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators provides secondary-school teachers and education administrators outside Korea an opportunity to promote understanding about Korea and broaden the scope of Korea-related education in their classrooms. The Korea Foundation is currently accepting applications from overseas institutions that are interested in hosting the Korean Studies Workshop for Non-Korean Educators in 2015.

Application for “2015 KF Fellowship for Korean Language Training” (Grant Program – Individual) is now available online. Since 1993, the Korea Foundation has offered an annual fellowship program for Korean language training for the general promotion and dissemination of the Korean language, which is the basis of promoting Korean studies and Korea-related activities overseas. This program provides an opportunity for graduate students of Korean studies outside Korea, Korean studies researchers and those working in Korea-related fields to learn Korean in an intensive immersion program at a university in Korea for at least six months.

Application for “2015 Dispatchment of Visiting Professor” (Grant Program – Institution) is now available online. The Korea Foundation assists universities outside Korea that are planning to expand their pool of offered Korean language or Korean studies courses but are currently experiencing difficulty in staffing the faculty with adequately qualified candidates by dispatching visiting professors of relevant fields.

Application for “2015 Support for Employment of Teaching Staff” (Grant Program – Institution) is now available online. The Korea Foundation provides financial support to oversea universities that are seeking to hire new faculty members with the goal of expanding their existing Korean language or Korean studies program. Universities outside Korea which currently operate or plan to launch an education and research program in Korean language or Korean studies are eligible for this program.

Application for “2015 Support for Establishment of Professorship” (Grant Program – Institution) is now available online. The Korea Foundation provides financial support for efforts to create new professorships (tenure-track) in the field of Korean studies across universities outside Korea that are equipped with the necessary infrastructures to support an adequate level of research and education on Korean studies research and have potential for further growth. Under this program, the Foundation funds the establishment and operation of a professorship for a given period provided the recipient university agrees to maintain the position after the termination of the Foundation’s support.

Application for “2015 Support for Overseas Korean Studies Centers and Associations” (Grant Program – Institution) is now available online. The Korea Foundation provides support for academic activities conducted by Korean studies centers and academic associations dedicated to research on Korean language and/or other Korea-related areas of study. Korean studies centers outside Korea and academic associations dedicated to research on Korean language and/or other Korea-related areas of study are eligible to apply.

Application for “2015 KF Fellowship for Field Research” (Grant Program – Individual) is now available online. The Korea Foundation provides support for the Fellowship for Field Research to provide distinguished overseas Korean Studies scholars and experts in relevant fields with the opportunity to conduct on-site field research in Korea and access resource materials.
